Book Of Stones

Book Of Stones
Kayaking In Antarctica

In 2008 I was fortunate to travel to Antarctica and shared the experience with a wonderful group of people, where we took part in a range of outdoor activities, such as kayaking, ice-climbing and camping out.

A couple of the group were very passionate about crystals and stones, and this started my interest. and bought this book back more or less as soon as I got back, as there was a Crystal Shop here in Folkestone (Rainbow Bridge Crystals) but it’s since moved, not far (sorry there’s no website link to share) yet far enough.

I’d already purchased a couple of Rose Quartz stones from Sheila (Baynham) but the trip and my keener interest helped to form a bond and we’ve since become friends.

I bought this book and love diving into it, to this day, because this book is a bit special and is written by two enthusiasts who each give their opinion and readings on over 300 entries.

So began my real adventure with stones and before I’d arrived home I’d picked up a beautiful Purple Amethyst Crystal that I used regularly for meditation until I gave it away last year at the IMMA Conference to a friend, and that one I’ve missed ever since … it was really lovely to use in tandem with a meditation session, or is it all in the mind lol?

It is beautifully photographed and both of the authors Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian and advises on the best
crystals for:

Book Of Stones
Rose Quartz Crystals
  • a crystalline environment
  • which ones to hold and carry
  • best ones to wear as jewellery or in pouches
  • for meditation
  • in dream-work
  • and for body layout
  • combining grids
  • stone oracles
  • as energy tools
  • in tandem with oils and essences

This is one of the largest and best crystal/stone volumes to be compiled and each author brings their unique spin on the subject.

They also talk about the Fire, Storm, Wind and Water Elements of the Stones and if you want to check the book out you can find it here at Amazon where it’s on Special Offer!
