There I was waxing lyrical about today’s topic – got distracted – came back to the site to look at something and by-passed the save feature (to my peril) that I’d written on the post.
And where I would have become frustrated with myself seeking some sort of justification, I now realize its a gentle nudge to get me back on track, and in this case I’d gone off topic from what had initially prompted me to post in the first place 🙂
It Wasn’t Meant To Be!
I’m finding it more subtle and calming than was beating myself up, blaming others or subscribing to the it wasn’t meant to be club.
What can be dis-empowering about that phrase and forgive me if it’s just me being picky about words but I’ve a leaning – what can I say (something to be tapped on once I’ve removed the giant oaks and gotten down to the saplings (so to speak – thank you Gary Craig 🙂 – EFT founder, genius and all-round Mr Nice Guy) … is that it seems to suit the thinking that when things go well – we’ve created them from our great synergy and synchronicity – but when they go wrong it somehow lies outside of us.
I’m unable to subscribe to such a slanted idea – its just all too easy! And I’m learning that’s where the real learning and growth are … ouch! I find the phrase debilitating but what do you think?
Destiny
I find it far more helpful to adopt an attitude where we decide instead to deal with the consequences, address the issue, look for our personal lessons, use some energy techniques, get rid of the recurring pattern and move on
. And of course that is far more challenging for anybody, which probably highlights, right there, why so few rise to the challenge. Yet I don’t feel there can be much in the way of moving forward unless we embrace the experience, warts’n’all. I look forward to hearing your thoughts, views and feelings on the matter.
