Vibrating Plate Machine

Has everyone heard of the Vibrating Plate Machine or similar … Its a form of exercising that is fairly new, amazingly quick and simple, over-riding the need for a gym membership (if that tickles your fancy) it certainly does mine.

It was recommended to me around 18-mths ago by the bio-energy healer Seka Nikolic (who featured in one of Paul McKenna’s TV programs) when I visited her for a course of treatment. And her thinking falls in line with many great Yoga teachers that adhere to the ‘less is more’ philosophy by stopping at the point of your resistance in every pose …

Hence the vibrational exercise equipment was born and now its in common usage. Over the last year most gyms in the UK have installed at least one of these machines … Some of us may be a little sceptical and still believe in the adage ‘no pain no gain’ after all how can 10-mins of standing or stretching (on a vibrating platform) possibly hold the equivalent benefit to an hour’s workout?

Is The Gym Outdated – You Decide

Crazy Fit Massager Body Vibration Plate Exercise MachineSuch thinking may be ’so last century’ and perhaps has more to do with the psychological benefit we gain from pounding a treadmill, believing that this punishment somehow compensates for all our poor social habits especially where eating and drinking are concerned. Instead lets celebrate the arrival of such a wonder because of the overall effect in return for so little effort.

The price of these machines (as used by Madonna) varies greatly and the top of the range are priced in the region of $12K although they are currently advertised at $231 and from all accounts there isn’t a deal of difference Crazy Fit Massager Body Vibration Plate Exercise Machine.

The Moon Landings

My dad (sadly was no longer around by the late 60’s when the moon-landings took place) would amuse us with his ’strange’ enthusiasm for a future where our nutritional intake would be in tablet form (as depicted by astronauts) as he wasn’t much of a food fan …

He would have loved the thinking behind this machine and in the words of Neil Armstrong; “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Indeed these machines rock if you catch my drift …

Antarctica

Tranquility Centre logo 501 Louise LangleyBecause this is the first post on what is a fresh and crisp new blog I want to launch it with a very worthy topic.

Today I am talking about Louise Langley mother to three wonderful boys. I first met Louise in March 2008 in Antarctica, of all places, and we spoke for the first time drifting back to the ship, in a dinghy, having spent a glorious morning kayaking, with the rest of the group, among seals and penguins and the serenity was almost deafening … a very beautiful and tranquil setting as I’m sure you can imagine, if you haven’t yet visited. And it was the tranquillity of Antarctica that inspired this blog name. Therefore it’s fitting that Louise features here first.

The Sacred Quest

 Louise Langley

During the trip, Louise gave a talk about The Sacred Quest and her quest and she was very inspiring … Her gentle, laughter and bright eyes quickly convey her authenticity and conviction.

Most of 2008 found her in meetings all around the world with scientists, complimentary and new-age experts working in joint partnership, as she gathered and translated into a more tangible format the information that continues to be filtered through her by whatever means.

Louise’s first book The Sacred Quest has various components.

Biographical

louise langley5 Louise Langley

It’s biographical in describing Louise’s experiences over the previous 18-mths and how her life changed un-recognizably, following an event in Dublin during the summer of 2006. It also illustrates Louise’s own lessons as an example of how it is our primitive duty to follow our heart and intuition if we truly wish to be happy. Following Louise’s suggestions leads us to ‘live in our truth’ where we discover our self-worth, life partner and life work.

The Science

puzzle pieces tntemerson080800130 Louise LangleyThe final aspect that gives the book its objective approval in the form of scientific evidence is being found in various fields such as: astronomy; genetics; quantum mechanics; quantum physics; and re-emerging sciences that were buried in ancient history.

Next time I’ll tell you more about how you can take one of Louise’s courses as I’ll tell you about the experiences I had on her Sacred Quest course in December 2008 and begin to publish her national and international programme for 2009 …
