Are We Porous
There’s a saying along the lines of taking good care in regards to what we apply to our skin, because it is naive not to realize that whatever we apply on the exterior of the body will be absorbed through the skin membrane and find it’s way into the system.
I know when I first heard this it gave quite a jolt as I simply hadn’t made what now seems an obvious connection between the internal physiology and how all that happens externally in everyday living and the state of the internal body are interconnected where an enormous impact on the quality of our life (inside and out) can be had when it comes to the products we apply to the skin.
It’s clear we have to be more tuned into ourselves and checking out each environment we inhabit is becoming more of an essential though often over-looked aspect, especially once the marketers have taken full advantage of our human propensity to follow-the-herd (it’s okay we’re built that way). Rather than protesting time is better spent on deciding which herd to back, and that requires we take some time out and consider the consequences of some of those choices we make every day, that may be having a deeper impact than we at first realized.
Let’s explore Essential Oils including the reasons for using the real McCoy and the benefits of their application, either through burning in a water-filled receptacle or for medicinal purposes when being applied directly to the skin.
What we apply to our skins and ingest internally through food sources, pharmaceuticals and beauty products are having an impact whether we want to own it or not.
So what do you use and why?
